Signal’s Bonded Cellular MobiKit for Video Streaming all over the State of Georgia

With an executive team in Los Angeles, a show runner in New York and a production shooting in the south, FOX’s “Monarch” knew that the typical wifi hotspot rental wasn’t going to be a dependable enough solution to provide a consistent video stream from set.

The show’s Producers reached out to Signal looking to pair a data solution with their onset video assist’s QTake Cloud Streaming system.  They needed a data service that was dependable, agile, and manageable with rock solid 3rd party support.  Signal provided a bonded cellular MobiKit with each of AT&T, Verizon & TMobile on board to optimize bandwidth and insure the best connectivity possible.

“Monarch” shot all over the state of Georgia.  From Midtown Atlanta, to Macon, to a remote ranch deep in the woods of Gainesville.  Working with Signal’s remote support team, the Video Assist on site was able to live stream multiple cameras consistently.

Signal’s ability to remote configure the MobiKit is key to optimizing connectivity and getting the highest speeds possible.  With Monarch’s wide range of locations spanning all the state of GA, Signal was able to pinpoint the strongest networks at any given location and then configure those for optimal performance.  It’s the kind of performance you just can’t get from renting wifi hotspots off the shelf.

Nick Wilson, Video Assist on “Monarch”:   “With limited time for setup and working in more than 4 different locations, sometimes close to 100 miles apart, trying to setup and get an internet connection just wasn’t something I could have on my plate.  Signal and their team had me covered 100% of the time.  I could just concentrate on making sure the East Coast and West Coast were seeing everything from set.  It was a fantastic experience, and the support was amazing”
